Bryan Gerritsen MA, CLVT

Bryan Gerritsen, a certified Low Vision Therapist, received his master’s degree from Western Michigan University in Orientation and Mobility for the Blind. Bryan has worked for 40 years in the field of visual impairment and blindness, and specifically in low vision services for the past 26 years. He has served patients with low vision at 13 eye centers and doctors’ offices in Utah since 2002. Prior to that, he was the director of Low Vision Services at the Division of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Utah.

In addition, Bryan teaches a course on “Utilization of Low Vision” at the University of Utah, and has lectured on low vision care throughout the country, from North Carolina to Hawaii. He has presented at numerous international and regional conferences, has conducted several webinars on low vision, and has authored journal articles on the subject. He has also provided training to staff on low vision care in Connecticut, Alabama, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, and elsewhere
