Mr Ashfaq Khan is practising Gynaecology and obstetrics for the last 14 years. He had his training at different hospitals in London - St. Bartholomew's Hospital London, The Royal London Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, The Whittington Hospital London and carried out his research work on Cervical Cancer at the University College of London. Mr Khan is an experienced Gynaecologist with a special interest in minimal access surgery (laparoscopy) and ambulatory gynaecology (Colposcopy, Vulvoscopy, and Hysteroscopy).

Mr Khan is currently working as the consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Whittington Hospital NHS where he is the Lead clinician (Head of the Unit) for Colposcopy and Vulva Disease. This unit is one of the largest Centres for the Lower Genital tract disease in the UK. He chairs MDT meetings (Multi-disciplinary team )meetings which decide on complicated cases in colposcopy and other lower genital tract diseases and an active member of General Gynaecology MDT.

Mr Khan is also the Lead for Quality improvement (Gynaecology service) and Chair of the Gynaecology Governance Group. He works closely with physiotherapists and acupuncturists to provide alternative therapies. He worked as Specialist Registrar / Clinical Research fellow of Sir Marcus Setchel (The Royal Obstetrician and Gynaecologist), World Famous Prof. Albert Singer (Founder of British colposcopy Society) and Prof David Latchman (World-renowned Bio molecular scientist, currently Master of Birkbeck University).

Mr Khan is an experienced colposcopist, an area in which he has also achieved excellent audited treatment results. He performs more than 500 colposcopy examinations and treatment per year. He has successfully led and completed research in the molecular immunology of HPV infection and Cervical pre cancer. He is the only British Specialist Colposcopist who won Ranzo Barraso Award (Prestigious Founder award) from European Federation of Colposcopy. His biography was included in the ‘Who is Who in the world ‘ 2010 edition for his outstanding contribution in clinical research and medical education.
