Andrew HaigMBBS, FACEM
Andrew currently works part-time as a VMO in Emergency Medicine at Calvary Hospital, Canberra. Previous positions include Director of Emergency Ultrasound (Liverpool Hospital in NSW ) where he developed local training programs in emergency ultrasound and echocardiography POCUS. He was also responsible for developing a statewide learning module in emergency ultrasound for NSW Health.
Andrew completed his advanced training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) in 2001 and in 2004, having served three years as a staff specialist in Emergency Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital, spent two years in the UK formally training in ultrasound and echocardiography. Andrew went on to complete his Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in 2006, and also passed the British Society of Echocardiography’s Transthoracic Echocardiography Accreditation Examination.
