Andrew Dwyer, Ph.D., FNP-BC, is an assistant professor at the Connell School of Nursing. Prior to his arrival at Boston College, he worked as an assistant professor in the Institute of Higher Education and Research in Healthcare at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland).

Dr. Dwyer received his Ph.D. from the University of Lausanne, a master’s in nursing from the MGH institute of Health Professions, and bachelor of science in human development and family studies from Cornell University. He is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and has extensive experience working in interprofessional translational research teams at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV).

Dr. Dwyer currently holds leadership positions in several national and international organizations including Global Genetic Nursing Alliance, International Society for Nurses in Genetics, European Society of Endocrinology, European Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Pediatric Endocrine Nursing Society. In 2018, he was inducted into the National Academy of Practitioners (Nursing) as a Distinguished Fellow.
