In Berlin alone, 17,000 people receive a cancer diagnosis every year - and the number is rising. Although the number of long-term survivors has also been rising for years, for the individual, cancer is always a potentially life-threatening disease. Everyone may handle it differently, but for the vast majority of people, the diagnosis changes abruptly. The Berlin Cancer Society does not leave these people alone: ​​With advice, information, and extensive support, our charitable association has been working for the well-being of cancer victims for 60 years. Relatives are expressly included because they are often as heavily burdened as the patients.
