Overview:  
This presentation will provide specifics on how to make diabetes self-management education (DSME) more accessible through telehealth. You will be provided with information on setting up telehealth platforms, remote sites, central sites, and best practices. You will also gain an understanding of mHealth and how this field of medicine can help patients and bridge the gap between doctor's appointments.

Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
• Review the challenges faced by dietitians and diabetes educators when visiting patients face-to-face.
• Discuss how to set up remote and central sites for telehealth DSMES.
• How to set up telehealth billing at remote and central locations.
• Review what mHealth is? How can it be used between visits, and how can it improve patient outcomes.
