Team-Based Care for Low Back Pain: A Panel Discussion is organized by Academy of Integrative Pain Management (AIPM). The Online CME Conference is held from May 01, 2018 - May 01, 2021.

The online medical event is outlined for the clinicians who treat chronic pain. This CME Conference has been assigned for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description:
Current management practices for low back pain, irrespective of the path taken, have largely neglected to control costs or enhance clinical outcomes. In the U.S., the pervasiveness and costs of back pain therapeutics are high and increasing —but clinical outcomes are not progressing. This panel session examines how restructuring the distribution of spine care, along with the team-based care, is required. Varying spine care delivery can assist enhance patient comfort and clinical outcomes and lessen costs. The panel reviews and discusses real-world case scenarios.

Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the methods for fragmentation and misdirected care, inappropriate incentives, and ineffective communication that leads to poor outcomes for low back pain
• Describe how team-based, relationship-centered care can improve the approach to low back pain to produce optimal patient outcomes
• Describe the methods for integrative care options that can be pragmatically included in a care plan.
