Refractory Migraine: Alternatives to Cursing God and Dying (When What You’re Doing is Not Working) is organized by Academy of Integrative Pain Management (AIPM) and will be held during Nov 14, 2016 - Nov 14, 2019.

The target audience for this medical event is for all clinicians who treat chronic pain. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description:
You enter a room and your new patient tells you, “I’ve done everything!” Understandably, a patient may feel that way but it’s not true. They may have tried a lot but not everything. Well, when you’ve done everything, there is only one thing left to do, curse God and die. Marcus Aurelius said, “Everything that happens, happens for a reason.” This is crucial because if you don’t know how you “happened,” how are you going to know what to do? This presentation prepares providers to know how refractory migraine “happens” and how to treat it with aggressive pharmacological, behavioral, and interventional modalities.

Conference Objectives:
• Explain what office-based procedures are likely to benefit headache patients.
• Discuss and engage appropriate behavioral interventions for headaches.
• Discuss supplemental interventions for patients who have failed to respond to common treatments.
• Discuss uncommon pharmacological interventions that may be beneficial for patients who have failed to respond to common treatments.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
