Released Date: October 15, 2019
Expiry Date: October 15, 2022

Overview :
The purpose of this curriculum is to provide current residency preceptors, and those wishing to become “preceptors in training (ASHP defined),” with a working understanding of what ASHP requires of preceptors and what to expect of this preceptor development curriculum.  Please note that a “preceptor in training” (defined by ASHP) must go through a formal training program apart from these modules, with direct mentoring, a development plan, and regular assessments and evaluations.  The first module will introduce you to these ASHP requirements and how Sharp Healthcare anticipates meeting them.  The remaining modules will address specific topic related to these requirements and develop your skills as a preceptor.

Following this activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe the layered learning practice model (LLPM)
• Define the LLPM teaching methodology
• Summarize the LLPM pyramid principal
