Orthopedic Examination and Joint Mobilization of the Knee Course for Physical Therapist is organized by ContinuingEducation.com - OnCourse Learning Corporation and will be held during Mar 29, 2017 - Mar 29, 2020.
The target audience for this medical event is physical therapists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 Hours.
Course Description :
There are tests to help predict/prevent patella tracking problems and anterior cruciate ligament injuries. In addition, there are well over 39 orthopedic tests for examination of the knee. As a clinician, do you know the most appropriate tests and the statistical values that influence their ability to be used as screening techniques versus diagnostic tools? Once the diagnosis is determined, do you recall the most suitable joint mobilization technique to restore proper arthrokinematics? The information in this course will provide this evidence.
Course Objectives :
The goal of this continuing education program is to provide therapists with information about the orthopedic examination and joint mobilization techniques of the knee. After studying the material presented here, you will be able to:
• Name three factors involved in preventing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and patellofemoral tracking problems
• Describe at least three tests to incriminate the meniscus
• Identify at least two confounding factors in ACL testing and the method to mitigate them
• Describe at least two mobilization techniques that can be used to increase knee mobility
