Course Overview:
Osteoporosis is a common health issue that affects may, and as chiropractors we can have a large impact on our osteoporosis patients’ nutrition, quality of life, and general health. This two-hour class covers the proper diagnosis of the osteoporosis patient as well as their nutritional concerns and management.

Course Outline:
• Proper diagnosis
• Labs, x-rays, and scans
• Special concerns for the osteoporosis patient
• Dietary management

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the role of drugs on prevention as well as a causative factor
• Review diet and supplementation in the management of osteoporosis
• Learn the roles of micro and macronutrients
• Discuss proper diagnosis of osteoporosis
