Osteoporosis is a common health issue that affects may, and as chiropractors we can have a large impact on our osteoporosis patients’ nutrition, quality of life, and general health. This two hour class covers the proper diagnosis of the osteoporosis patient as well as their nutritional concerns and management.
• Proper diagnosis
• Labs, x-rays, and scans
• Special concerns for the osteoporosis patient
• Dietary management
• Understand the role of drugs on prevention as well as a causative factor
• Review diet and supplementation in the management of osteoporosis
• Learn the roles of micro and macronutrients
• Discuss proper diagnosis of osteoporosis
