Course Description:
Rios Associates' intention is to connect the language and cultural barrier gap among healthcare providers and Latino (Spanish speaking) patients. 

Rios Associates Virtual Trainings assist and build rapport between healthcare providers and their patients, promote safe and high-quality patient care, enhance patient satisfaction, enhance the appropriate utilization of healthcare resources, as well as, increase preventive health activities and compliance.

This 2-day (8:00 am-12:00 PM), individually tailored conversational, medical and cultural Spanish CME Virtual Training session consists of 8 hours of interactive live teaching, medical dialogues, role-plays/practice sessions, cross-cultural discussions and daily practice with our McGraw Hill's Complete Medical Spanish textbook. This method is highly suitable for those with limited time who must use their new language skills immediately.

Participants who complete this 2-day intensive course will:
• Obtain the ability to interview patients in Spanish in a culturally competent manner, take a medical history, conduct a physical, as well as, neurological exam, and give prescription and follow-up instructions, while taking cultural sensitivity into account to increase compliance.
• Display a good flow of speech in the present, future, and past tenses, as well as the command form.
• Grab some degree of Cultural Competency concerning health and medical care.
• Employ the skills needed to continue language acquisition through daily practice and personal experience.

The instructor and participants make an Internet connection on the scheduled conference date’s time via WebEx. Virtual Training is handled on a small group basis; thus, permitting for much flexibility. WebEx allows us to share audio and video; as well as tools, such as whiteboards, presentations, and pictures.
