Long Acting Naltrexone and Anti-Psychotic Drugs Administration is organized by University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Pharmacy and will be held during Aug 01, 2017 - Aug 01, 2020.

The target audience for this medical event is Pharmacists who wish to administer Naltrexone and/or long acting antipsychotic medications. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.75 hours

Course Description:
This medication administration instructional program is designed to teach proper intramuscular (IM) injection technique. A video demonstration is provided to accompany the lecture. Long acting Naltrexone and antipsychotic agents are discussed in detail including patient counseling information, contraindications, and special considerations. This program meets the non-vaccine injection training requirements for the state of Wisconsin. Pharmacists who have completed vaccine training and this program will be able to perform IM injections.

Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the five rights of administration and how to apply the "five rights" when administering a non-vaccine injection
• Discuss the various intramuscular injection sites
• Demonstrate proper non-vaccine injection administration technique
• Identify long acting naltrexone and long acting antipsychotic agents and special considerations
