Description:
The Traumatic Elbow: Treating Stiffness and Instability is a comprehensive program will provide clinicians with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully treat the traumatic elbow. The Traumatic Elbow course focuses on non- operative rehabilitation, surgical management and post-operative management for the unstable elbow and stiff elbow. A review of anatomy with narrated dissection, the best available evidence, therapeutic management and clinical pearls will be presented by a distinguished faculty of hand therapists and hand surgeons from Hospital for Special Surgery. In this activity’s lectures are highlights from this larger program giving clinicians an expert review of anatomy and dissection of the elbow.

Learning Objectives:
Hospital for Special Surgery activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:
• Identify anatomical bony landmarks in the elbow.
• Understand how the neurovascular structures travel through in the elbow.
• Describe biomechanics of the elbow joint.
• Describe surgical dissection of the elbow.
