This session meets the RD requirement for a unit of "ETHICS" during a 5 year renewal period. In this webinar, we will review the most current Code of Ethics for the profession of dietetics which is released by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) in conjunction with its credentialing agency, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). We'll also review the 4 main Principles and 32 Standards, commonly used terms, and how those relate to ANDs values. Additionally, we'll review how to apply the Code of Ethics in the workplace and the process and procedure for how to handle ethical complaints. The best part will be that we'll take a look at a few scenarios along the way. You'll get an idea of how to ethically interact with clients!

Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
• Understand ethics as it pertains to dietetics.
• Describe the principles and standards of the profession.
• Review the process for consideration of the issues.
