Description:
During this 2022 version of Diabetes 101, you'll learn the basics of diabetes types, diagnosis, treatment, and recommendations. We'll also talk about the national diabetes prevention program, gestational diagnosis processes, diabetes TECHNOLOGY, and more!

Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss current diagnosis guidelines for Type 2, gestational, Type 1, and Pre-diabetes.
  • Discuss the components of a national DPP program Review common complications of diabetes and treatments.
  • Describe current nutrition and exercise recommendations.
  • Evaluate when a person with diabetes should monitor blood sugars and appropriate times to suggest medication changes.
