Program Description:
Newborn screening has led to earlier identification and the start of earlier treatment for patients living with cystic fibrosis (CF). Once diagnosed, there are many considerations with the care of pediatric patients to appropriately manage their health and nutrition status. A multidisciplinary team approach to treating patients with CF is recommended to provide optimal care; this approach provides specialized care with the intent of improving the health, quality of life, and length of life for these individuals.

Educational Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Explore the presentation, screening recommendations, and guidelines for diagnosis of cystic fibrosis (CF)
• Identify the benefits of a multidisciplinary CF team
