Autologous Stem Cell Therapy: A Naturopathic Approach to the Treatment of Chronic Low Back and Discogenic Pain is organized by Academy of Integrative Pain Management (AIPM) and will be held during Dec 21, 2016 - Dec 21, 2019.
The target audience for this medical event is all clinicians who treat chronic pain. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Low back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide (Buchbinder 2013). An emerging approach to the treatment of chronic low back pain is the concentration/isolation of autologous mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) harvested from a patient’s own bone marrow and adipose tissue for reinjection into affected structures and tissue beds. This course will briefly summarize the proposed mechanism of injury of autologous stem cell therapy, identify indications for the treatment of low back pain with autologous stem cells, describe treatment protocols, and present original data from a single-site retrospective survey.
