2017 ENT for the PA-C: Sialadenoscopy, Sialadenitis is organized by American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and will be held during Apr 27, 2018 - Oct 31, 2020. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1 AAPA Category 1 CME credit by the AAPA Review Panel.
This course reviews the epidemiology, differential diagnosis, signs, and symptoms of sialoadenitis, including progression to chronic disease. It also covers current workup and imaging, medical therapy, and surgical indications for adult and pediatric populations, and for those with salivary disease induced by RAI. Patient selection and indications for endoscopic treatment are detailed. The course also offers an algorithm for sialolithiasis.
• Recognize the signs and symptoms of salivary gland disease.
• Identify patients with indications for sialadenoscopy and salivary duct surgery versus salivary gland resection.
• Describe various salivary endoscopic procedures and expected results.
