2017 ENT for the PA-C: Interpretation of VNG is organized by American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and will be held during Apr 26, 2018 - Oct 31, 2020. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.25 AAPA Category 1 CME credit.
This course will provide the necessary information to properly interpret ENG/VNG testing when treating patients with balance disorders. A basic overview of pertinent anatomy and physiology related to the vestibular system will be covered initially. Next, the course will move into reviewing each component of the standard VNG testing battery. Lastly, case studies incorporating the material from the course will be presented for review.
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
• Acquire a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology necessary to interpret vestibular testing.
• List the indications for obtaining a VNG and recognize limitations when interpreting these tests.
• Interpret properly each component of the VNG and effectively utilize these studies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the vertiginous patient.
