In this exciting Mind Matters webinar, Dr Jonathan Hurlow, Chair of the Birmingham Medical Institute Psychiatry Division, will be joined by Lord John Alderdice, Deputy to the Lord Speaker of the House, to examine the role of doctors in the government's controversial counter-terrorism strategy.
Lord John Alderdice is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has spent a lifetime exploring religious fundamentalism, radicalization, terrorism, and global violent political conflict. He also played a significant role in negotiating the 1998 Good Friday Agreement.

During this webinar you will:
• Learn about Lord Alderdice’s work on understanding and addressing religious fundamentalism, radicalization, terrorism, and violent political conflict in various parts of the world. 
• Understand the impact of the Government’s response to the Shawcross Independent Review of PREVENT on the duties of doctors to counter-terrorism.
