Effect of ABCDE Bundle Implementation on Prevalence of Delirium in Intensive Care Unit Patients is organized by American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and will be held from Nov 01, 2016 - Nov 01, 2019.

Activity Summary:
The ABCDE bundle incorporates multidisciplinary measures to improve and/or preserve patients’ physical, functional, and neurocognitive status through awakening and breathing coordination, delirium prevention and management, and early physical mobility.

Learning Objectives:
•Identify the individual components of the ABCDE Bundle.
•Discuss the burden of delirium on healthcare organizations and the community
•List possible non-pharmocological interventions used for the prevention and management of intensive care unit delirium.

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC's) Commission on Accreditation, ANCC Provider Number 0012 (60 min contact hour). AACN has been approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the California State Board of Nursing, California Provider number CEP01036 for 1.2 contact hours (50 min contact hour).
