Activity Summary :
Have you ever wanted to understand how to impact change on your unit, particularly as it relates to implementing evidence-based knowledge or best-practices? AACN Clinical Scene Investigator Academy faculty present four sessions on four distinct topics and sharing proven CSI Academy change management concepts and tools. This is a series. Participants may select any or all four sessions to meet their learning needs. Session 2, Creating the Business Case for Quality, topics include Measurement, Fiscal Calculations, and review of Innovative Change Management Tools such as a logic model and influencer map. Skills learned in these sessions enhance your leadership skills and instill the confidence to initiate changes in behaviors and cultures in your work environment. Participants leave the session with a proven set of methods that empower them to design and implement a project that improves patient outcomes and reduces cost.
• Differentiate between process and outcome measures and how they relate to clinical outcomes and your change initiative.
• Describe how to quantify the fiscal impact of a practice change.
• Explain the components of a logic model and drill down plan and how to apply these tools to your project.
