Emergency Medicine Update for Primary Care is organized by CME Seminars and will be held from Mar 06 - 10, 2023 at Hilton Garden Inn St. Pete Beach, St Pete Beach, Florida, united states of America.
Statement of Need:
A medical emergency is an injury or illness that is acute and poses an immediate risk to a person’s life or long-term health and it’s extremely important to attend to these patients quickly. The early identification of a medical emergency and subsequent management is critical to provide optimal care to patients and preventing irreversible consequences. Primary Care Clinicians need to explore advances in emergency medicine in order to stay current on evidence-based recommendations and best practices.
Learning Objectives:
After participating in this activity clinicians should be able to:
• Physicians need to develop strategies to appropriately perform rapid patient assessments and initial workups.
• Determine which types of orthopedic injuries can be treated in the office versus injuries that should be transferred to the ED.
• Develop strategies to evaluate and treat common pediatric complaints, including respiratory distress, vomiting and diarrhea, fever, and other urgent complaints.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
