Description:
This symposium brings together renowned HF experts to discuss emerging clinical data for key therapeutic classes used to treat HF and current and potential future clinical applications for these agents. In particular, newer pharmacotherapies that target the pathophysiologic pathways of HF and address unmet needs will be the focus. The clinical expert faculty will also review and provide context regarding updated clinical guideline recommendations to best prepare clinicians on the front lines of HF care and, ultimately, to improve patient outcomes.

The learning objectives of this program are:
• Identify diagnostic strategies for HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) based on recent guidelines
• Apply evidence-based guidelines for treatment selection for HFrEF and its comorbidities
• Outline the mechanisms of action of emerging therapies for HFrEF 
• Differentiate clinical trial evidence for emerging therapies to manage HFrEF
