Join us for this multi-part segment that addresses the many
aspects of physician well-being.

Many physicians may be “burned out on burnout”, but the sad fact remains that
levels among physicians, particularly in family medicine, continue to rise. This in
part is due to attention being paid only to individual wellness practices and
bolstering so-called “resilience” as the solution rather than addressing the far
greaterculprits including the culture of medicine and system inefficiency.
This afternoon’s multi-part interactive and engaging series uses the Stanford
Model of Professional Fulfillment as a framework to delve into all the aspects
of physician well-being (culture of medicine, efficiency of practice, and
individual wellness practice).

 Physician Well-being – Part 1 PS
Coping Techniques and Resources - Compassion Fatigue
Caitlin Matthis, DO, Washington Health System and Melissa Clark, MD
The secondary trauma of caring for patients increases our risk for compassion
fatigue and negative physical and mental health outcomes for physicians.
Join us to learn to recognize sympathetic activation throughout
your workday, try on some coping techniques, and learn about resources
for professional resilience.
