Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this enlightening program, participants should be competently able to:
• Differentiate between the presentations and causes of atopic, contact (irritant and allergic), and nummular dermatitis
• Discriminate the diagnostic principles and treatment options for papulosquamous diseases with red, raised bumps
• Discriminate between various viral skin infections and treatment strategies
• Detect pre-cancerous and cancerous skin lesions
• Describe strategies for identifying and treating substance use disorders
• Identify therapies, including nonpharmacological pain treatment strategies, that can reduce the dose of opioids to control pain
• Recognize the differences between the symptoms and causes of atopic, contact (allergic and irritant), and nummular dermatitis.
• Differentiate between the principles of papulosquamous disorders with red, raised bumps and the available treatments.
• Differentiate between different viral skin diseases and cures
• Find skin lesions that are malignant and pre-cancerous.
• Outline methods for recognizing and treating substance use issues.
• Recognize treatments, such as non-pharmacological pain management techniques, that can lower the dosage of opioids needed to control pain.
• Be aware of the fundamental biological, behavioral, and social aspects that underlie the mechanisms of the risk of drug misuse and other related issues.
• Evaluate treatment alternatives for people who are addicted to chronic pain.
• Identifying and treating asthma patients
• Create treatment plans for common respiratory illnesses that take into account the most recent evidence-based medicine.
• Explain the current therapeutic approach to COPD.
• Discuss methods for lung nodules and lung cancer detection, screening, and therapy.
• Explain the various inflammatory arthritis diagnoses based on a patient's clinical symptoms and test results.
• Use current research to inform the development of osteoarthritis treatment plans.
• Describe the advantages and disadvantages of using bisphosphonates to treat osteoporosis.
• Identifying and treating pseudogout and gout
