Course Overview:
Traumatic dental injuries occur at the petty convenient time and requirements the practitioner a broad range of diagnostic and clinical skills. Know about the rapid diagnosis of traumatic injuries; Evaluating diagnosis and timing of future treatment; Emergency splinting procedures; Pulpal, periodontal, and restorative concerns. Up-to-date management of luxation injuries; avulsions and root fractures will be performed. The lecture is amply illustrated with numerous case portrayals.

This session will provide an overview of treatment methods based on the newly published Guidelines for the Management of Traumatic Dental Injuries issued by the International Association of Dental Traumatology, with an accent on minimizing complications while enhancing prognosis.

Learning Objectives: 
• How to immediately assess and document traumatic injuries
• How to provide emergency care and steps to be taken for future treatment
• Which factors influence the ultimate prognosis
• When and how long to splint wounded teeth
• How to minimize complications associated with dentoalveolar trauma.
• How to treat avulsion, luxation injuries, and root fractures of the primary and permanent dentition
• How to manage injuries of the immature vs mature permanent tooth.
