This full-day conference is perfect for the healthcare practitioner interested in learning more about allergy/immunological issues in the young patient. Several topics being presented will include new data, research and approaches for food allergy and avoidance, drug allergies, and allergy testing. Other topics will include an update on atopic dermatitis and immunodeficiency. The breakouts in the afternoon will be case-based and interactive allowing for a deeper dive in some of these topics. 

• Describe the impact of labeling a child with a beta-lactam allergy
• Discuss common presentations and proper evaluation of beta-lactam allergy in children
• Identify steps primary care providers can employ to reduce unnecessary antibiotic avoidance
• Discuss desensitization modalities for food allergy including oral immunotherapy, epicutaneous immunotherapy and sublingual immunotherapy
• Identify new immunomodulatory drugs that are being studied as adjunctive therapies for food allergy immunotherapy
• Identify other potential treatments for food allergy that are in the research pipeline
• Recognize atopic dermatitis chiefly on the basis of the clinical exam
• Mange exacerbations appropriately, on the basis of evidence and recommendations
• Select treatment for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis on the basis of available data
• Discuss the increased incidence of food allergies in children and potential casual factors
• Describe potential ways to families on how intervene to prevent development of food allergies
• Discuss test modalities and clinical scenarios in which they are helpful and limitations
• Discuss risks and benefits of blood allergy testing
