For respondents who have completed Part A & Part B., This session is essential in brewing those interested in taking the Certified Mulligan Practitioner Exam.
A two-day advanced course to evaluate and fine-tune the participant's experience level with the Mulligan access to manual therapy for the whole body. In addition, instruction in the management of Pain Release Phenomenon techniques and confining techniques will be presented.
Aimed at the frontline practitioner, the Mulligan Theory is a series of instantaneous and pain-free manual therapy procedures to concede evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders to present symptom and functional modification. Mulligan Concept courses provide clinically-directed education in:
• Hands-on techniques
• Self-treatment and self-management strategies
• Taping and home taping techniques
These interventions shall be underpinned by sound clinical reasoning in the application of Mobilisation with Movement on patients. Current rationalisation of the database for the management of the Mulligan Concept and manual therapy will be recognised to facilitate participants a thorough and in-depth coverage of the Mobilisation with Movement approach.
On completion of this course attendees will be able to:
• Explain the underpinning theory of NAG's, SNAG's and Mobilisations with Movement (MWM's).
• Describe and justify the use of spinal NAG's and SNAG's in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
• Explain and justify the use of peripheral MWM's for the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, hip, knee and foot and ankle with a recommendation to common musculoskeletal disorders.
