What is the significance of the ECCI 2020 Meeting?
Congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is the Commonly occurring congenital viral infection around the world with a vital affection public health within and outside Europe. Although there is an expanded research effort, there important gaps that still remain. ECCI is an expanded interface of experts working on congenital cytomegalovirus across Europe. The purpose of the session is to elevate public awareness and develop congenital CMV on the European research agenda. The mission of the ECCI conference is to foster collaborative research, examine available evidence, know research gaps that should be filled to promote evidence-based health policies, and prioritize the improvement of much-needed prevention and intervention programs.
