The 11th Annual Congress on Controversies in Ophthalmology: Europe (COPHy EU) is organized by ComtecMed and will be held from Mar 26 - 28, 2020 at EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel, Lisbon, Portugal.
The COPHy EU program, turning to Lisbon in 2020, the session holds the evidence-based debates and conversations amongst the arbitrators, speakers, and the audience, who will examine and analyze the most important and controversial concerns raised during the course of 2019 and 2020 in the area of ophthalmology. This educational Congress is solely focused on Retina but will also discuss controversies on other related areas of ophthalmology that includes neuro-ophthalmology, ocular imaging, and uveitis.
Topics in the session will cover the medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases that includes the age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, proliferative diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, pathologic myopia, and vitreomacular interface abnormalities, as well as advances in ophthalmic imaging, hereditary retinal diseases, surgical innovations, home monitoring, and the role of deep learning (artificial intelligence) in these conditions.
Bestows ample of time for speaker-audience discussion, the session intends to reach up-to-date references on ongoing debates even when data remain limited, through evidence-based medicine, including expert opinion. Attendees will have a chance to take part in this vibrant meeting which will promote discussions on the shared experiences and opinions of leading local and international experts.
The 11th COPHy EU Congress will highlight the issues related to the region in terms of diagnostics, characteristic responses to treatments and typical complications. Most of the Faculty members will be from Portugal and Spain in order to discuss these typical regional problems.
