Course Description :
This course is designed to provide information for registered nurses who care for patients that are receiving advanced intravenous therapy. Topics related to advanced line therapy will be discussed inclusive of organizational policies and procedures, indications for venous access, peripheral intravenous lines as well as tunneled and non-tunneled venous access. Nursing management, preventing and identifying common complications, troubleshooting problems, and providing hands-on experience with selected venous access devices will be included.
