Discuss common diseases which present differently in elders. 3. Identify evidence-based tools to perform comprehensive geriatric assessments. 4. Describe the doctor/patient relationship in regards to geriatric medicine. 5. Identify the role of community resources in preserving the functional independence of older adults. Acute Pain and Emerging Therapies for Pain Management - Kevin O’Connor (1hr) 1.Define “pain” as per the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). 2.
