Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Course is organized by Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS) and will be held from Jun 15 - 16, 2019 at Townsville Hospital, JCU Clinical School, Pimlico, Queensland, Australia.
Doctors, nurses, ambulance officers, medical students, and military, fire and police (where relevant to trauma management).
PHTLS is a two-day multidisciplinary course designed to increase knowledge and skills in handling trauma patients and delivering critical care in frontline pre-hospital trauma care.
You will learn how to:
• identify the mechanism of injury
• interpret signs and symptoms
• recognise life threatening injuries
• perform appropriate interventions
• identify a trauma patient with multiple injuries.
Registration for this course closes 4 weeks prior to the course date to ensure ample time of pre-reading of the textbook before attending the course.
