CLive Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult is organized by Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and will be held from Aug 14 - 15, 2019 at Sheraton Grand Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

Target Audience:
This continuing education activity is intended to meet the needs of intensivists, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, emergency physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and all other providers who care for patients in any setting in which critical care is provided.

Accreditation:
Designation Statement:

The Society of Critical Care Medicine designates the live educational activity, Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult, for a maximum of 19 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Nurses:
The Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult activity has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider No. 8181, for up to 19 contact hours.

Physician Assistants:
The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the 2 Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education or a recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 19 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Maintenance of Certification:
Successful completion of this continuing medical education (CME) activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 19 medical knowledge maintenance of certification (MOC) points in the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Anesthesia (ABA), and American Board of Surgery MOC programs. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. This course meets the requirements for up to 19 MOC credits.

Course Description:
Obtain the realistic training needed to perform and interpret ultrasound imaging with SCCM’s comprehensive, two-day Critical Care Ultrasound course. Participants benefit from guided, focused skill stations, featuring live models and interactive presentations to reinforce key learning points. Extensive faculty coverage ensures a significant hands-on experience for each participant.

Learning Objectives:
• Demonstrate a foundation of ultrasound knowledge.
• Practice acquisition of high-quality images via hands-on exercises.
• Demonstrate image interpretation and utilization of ultrasound as a diagnostic tool.
