All topics presented will utilize evidence-based guidelines from the literature.
Statement of Need:
Common internal medicine issues are being updated continually by specialty and government agencies. It is difficult for the internal medicine physician to stay abreast of all the current new guidelines and recommendations. Physicians and other medical providers are in need of streamlined approaches to common primary care issues. Internal medicine physicians, in particular, must prepare for their initial certification or participate in continuing maintenance of certification. This course is presented to meet this particular need.
The overall goals of the conference are to impact the diagnostic and treatment of patients seen in internal medicine practices and prepare the participant to be successful on an initial or MOC certification examination.
