ETAT+ (Emergency Triage Assessment Training plus) is a comprehensive and proven intervention developed specifically for implementation in resource poor setting reaching the poorest and most vulnerable children in rural and peri-urban areas. The ALSG accredited GIC provides candidates with detailed guidance on teaching methods.
The intervention package provides hands-on training to healthcare workers using evidence-based and up-to-date clinical protocols for identifying and managing the most common threats to newborn and child survival.
Learning aims, objectives and outcomes
• Lessons outlining the effective treatment of key causes of childhood illness and how to manage those conditions in a low resource environment
• Implementing the quality improvement agenda within the low resource hospital
• Helps participants promote teamwork and the integration of new skills and knowledge into everyday practice
