Diagnostic Pathology of the Urinary System and Male Genital Organs is organized by Vincent Academy of Pathology (VAP) and will be held from Nov 25 - 27, 2019 at Courtyard by Marriott Linz, Linz, Upper Austria, Austria.
This course is designed for practicing pathologists as well as pathologists in training. Attendance is limited to 100 participants.
Several common as well as uncommon tumors of the kidney, the urinary system, prostate, testis, and paratesticular tissue are included. On each day, at least 20 cases will be extensively discussed by an interactive approach (live microscopic presentation of the cases). Particular attention will be paid to the diagnostic criteria with systematic analysis of differential diagnoses. Value and limitations of immunohistochemistry and molecular-genetic tools will be demonstrated and critically discussed. A comprehensive review and update of histopathology with discussion of clinical significance of benign and malignant tumors of the urogenital tract will be provided. In addition, several lectures will give an overview on classification and diagnostic issues/problems of implementation of the 2016 WHO classification, grading and staging, complementing the case discussions.
