Children's Orthopaedic Trauma Summit is organized by University of Minnesota - Continuing Professional Development and will be held from Oct 24 - 25, 2019 at Minnesota History Center, Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States of America.

This course is ideal for pediatric, orthopaedic, and trauma surgeons as well as emergency room physicians, pediatricians, family physicians, primary care physicians, and advanced practice practitioners who work with children.

Course Description:
This course is intended for anyone involved in the care of the pediatric patient with a musculoskeletal injury. Whether you are an orthopedic surgeon who cares for kids, or a primary care provider looking to augment your knowledge of first line care in the setting of injuries to the growth plate, or any patient practitioner with interest in this area, this course is for you.

• Discuss physiology as a basis for structure and function.
• Apply physeal fracture classification as a basis for treatment and prognosis.
• Develop a strategy for diagnosing, tracking and intervening in growth plate arrest.
• Differentiate upper and lower extremity variants in physeal fracture injuries inclusive of next frontier treatments.
