Target Audience :
This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.

Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science designates this live activity for a maximum of 37.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pharmacology Content
Select presentations will contain pharmacology content as noted in the program. Identified presentations represent approximately 6.75 hours of pharmacology content for the general session and 3.25 for the Pharmacology Breakout.

Conference Description:
As hospital care models continue to evolve; NPs and PAs are playing an increasingly vital role in the care delivery of hospitalized patients. This conference focuses on providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines and treatment pathways necessary to optimally care for hospitalized patients. The course covers topics in critical care, hospital general medicine, surgery, neurology, cardiology, psychology, pain management and other medical subspecialties. The course features multiple options for skills workshops to further tailor the educational needs of NPs and PAs.

• Describe assessment, current guidelines and drug therapies for VTE.
• Explain heart failure management in complex hospitalized patients.
• Summarize updates in treatment of ALL and recognize common side effects of newer medications.
