Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (Jun 14 - 15, 2018)
Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) is organized by Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Education Programs and will be held during Jun 14 - 15, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 14 Contact Hours.
Unlike trauma education programs targeted at prehospital and emergency care providers, the Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) course is specifically designed for acute care, critical care, and perioperative nurses.
This live, 2-day program gives inpatient staff members the foundational, evidence-based information and critical thinking skills necessary to meet regulatory requirements and provide excellent care to this challenging patient population.
Participants focus on concepts relevant to the nursing care of the injured, hospitalized patient:
• The trauma care spectrum
• The biomechanics of trauma
• The body's response to injury
Learners apply information from Part I by participating in interactive expanding case scenarios that focus on admission to discharge care of patients with injuries to various body regions. Cases include the surgical, medical, and nursing management of patients with:
• Thoracic trauma
• Abdominal trauma
• Musculoskeletal trauma
• Craniocerebral trauma
• Spine & spinal cord trauma
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
