New Techniques and Controversies in Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine is organized by Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and will be held during Oct 05 - 06, 2018 at OLC Education & Conference Center, Cook County, Illinois, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event is AANA and AOFAS members, and non-member orthopedic surgeons.
The foot/ankle course is an interactive two-day hands-on surgical skills course designed in cooperation with the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Its purpose is to give participants the opportunity to learn and practice organized, advanced and newer arthroscopic techniques in foot and ankle surgery. The course is directed by an expert and skilled faculty of arthroscopic surgeons and features 7 hours of hands-on laboratory time with the latest equipment and techniques on cadaver specimens. Lecture presentations will be augmented with videos of actual arthroscopic surgeries. A portion of the course will be presented in a “case-based” format to enhance the educational objectives.
Learning Objectives are :
At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
• Develop and improve competence by practicing foot and ankle surgical techniques on cadavers
• Identify and apply cutting-edge techniques for minimally invasive surgical procedures as they pertain to foot and ankle pathology, to advance knowledge of current treatments and alternatives
• Highlight the efficacy of procedures by using evidence-based medicine to support treatment options
