The target audience for this medical event specifically designed to improve your skill in both technical and non-technical aspects of anesthetic crisis management. this CME Conference has been approved for maximum of 40 credits in the Knowledge and Skills category.
Conference Description :
This Conference focuses on the role of the anesthetist as the team leader during an anesthetic crisis. It also focuses on the interaction with the team around the anesthetist in order to utilize skills and resources effectively.
Patient safety and quality are at the heart of what we do. Studies have shown that a high proportion of adverse incidents in health care are the result of breakdowns in communication or poor teamwork.
The Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) course is an Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) accredited course.
This two and a half-day course focuses on how a crisis is recognised and subsequently managed. It features five modules :
• Human factors,
• Airway emergencies,
• Cardiovascular emergencies,
• Anaesthesia emergencies and
• Trauma.
