Conference Description :
Dementia is the number one cause of death in the Netherlands. The number of people with dementia has increased fivefold in recent years, to more than 270,000 patients. Apart from the fact that the burden of disease for the dementia is very large, it also has an enormous effect on the immediate environment and society in general. In the Netherlands there are around 300,000 informal caregivers who care for someone with dementia who lives at home.
