Lower GI Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) STAR Program is organized by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and will be held during Feb 17 - 18, 2018 at ASGE Institute for Training and Technology, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 23 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Overview :
This program is designed to specifically teach core knowledge and motor skills in Lower GI EMR through a unique blend of self-study, didactic, and intensive, standardized hands-on training taught by nationally known experts in the field Immediately following the live components, all participants will complete a post-test, as well as a one-on-one assessment of a standardized checklist of skills.
Conference Objectives :
After successfully completing all the components of this program, participants should be able to:
• Describe the morphology of colonic polyp and assess their endoscopic appearance for resectability
• Appropriately select and demonstrate the use of various snares, cautery and injection/lifting technique in EMR of “large, complex or high-risk colonic polyps (e.g., >20 mm, difficult location, • with depression or significant nodularity.
• Demonstrate the use of appropriate accessories for both polyp retrieval and adverse event management
• Select appropriate surveillance intervals based on current guidelines.
