5th Annual Update and Advances in Psychiatry is organized by University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) and would be held on Oct 13 -14, 2017 at Monona Terrace, Madison, Wisconsin, United States Of America.
The target audience for has been designed to meet the needs of clinicians and other health care professionals who are looking to enhance their knowledge and skills for the care of their patients with mental health issues. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Weigh the risks and benefits of novel approaches to treating depression, including pharmacogenomic testing and ketamine.
• Describe the challenges of managing ADHD in children and adolescents with co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Apply the principles of trauma-informed care to their treatment of patients with posttraumatic stress disorder.
• Develop a formulation and treatment plan for patients with borderline personality disorder based on the most recent understanding of this disorder.
