Upon completion of the article by French et al, the participant should be able to:
• Recognize that few antiepileptic drugs are licensed to treat primary generalized tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures
• State the mechanism of action of perampanel
• Discuss the findings from this study assessing the efficacy of perampanel in patients with drug-resistant PGTC seizures in idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE)
• List the most frequent treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAE) seen with perampanel in this study
