Upon completion of the article by Tomson et al, the participant should be able to:
• Recognize that the major focus with regard to antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) and pregnancy has primarily been on the risk of major congenital malformations (MCMs) and impaired cognitive and behavioral development after prenatal AED exposure
• Summarize the EURAP methodology
• Discuss the findings from this study assessing the risk of spontaneous abortions and stillbirths in patients receiving AEDs during pregnancy.
