For 2018, sessions have been tailored to meet with unique and practical needs of leaders in the ILAE Commission on European Affairs. Admission is limited to 30 candidates to allow for meaningful interactions and applied learning activities. The scientific sessions form the main part of the congress programme. The main topics were chosen by the ISOC and the sessions were selected from the numerous proposals submitted by ILAE members and other experts. These sessions were selected to represent the best European and global epileptology. The programme covers all aspects of epileptology, but four main themes have been selected, representing Adult Epileptology, Basic and Translational Science, Childhood Epileptology and Pharmacotherapy, and each with an associated Main Session. The titles of the four main sessions address the following topics : • Acquired epilepsies: mechanisms, therapeutic advances and unmet needs • Tauopathies and epilepsy • Advances in the development of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for childhood onset epilepsies • Targeted therapy

The target audience for this medical event is Nuclear medicine specialists with some expertise in thyroid cancer but as well as Oncologists and Endocrinologists with expertise in the field of thyroid. Course Content : This course is devoted to the management of thyroid cancer with emphasis on the role of nuclear medicine in the context of multidisciplinary approach. Diagnostic tools and their rational use in work-up and follow-up of thyroid cancer will be analyzed, including limitations, HTA and cost/effectiveness. The RAI therapy will be discussed in terms of definitions, aims, methodology, results and side-effects and general concepts on the management of RAI-refractory thyroid cancer will be also provided.
